Online –Bank Transfer / Digital Wallet / Credit Card :
Bank Transfer → Electronic transfers are Ecuador's leading digital payment method, widely supported by major local banks such as Banco Pichincha and Banco Guayaquil. In 2023, the country processed 228 million interbank transfers worth USD 191.2 billion, equivalent to around 1.6 times Ecuador's GDP.
Digital Wallet → Mobile wallets such as PayPhone and Deuna are still emerging. In 2024, mobile wallet transactions represented less than 1% of the value processed through Ecuador’s specialized clearing system.
